Fairfax County Police Department provides a searchable map for crime incidents in your neighborhood. The department notes the data represents what responding officers are determining through preliminary investigation. Further investigation may find no crime occurred or that the circumstances were different than first determined.

We've listed particular calls below highlighted in daily crime reports. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Alcohol Enforcement

DIRECTED PATROL, 7/11/14. Officers from the Reston Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. No drivers were charged with DWI. Five summonses and eight warnings were issued. Two criminal arrests were made.

CHECKPOINT, Fairfax County Parkway/North Walnut Branch Road, 7/12/14. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. Six hundred and eighteen vehicles passed through. Five drivers were charged with DWI. Six summonses were issued.

BURGLARY, 6400 block of McCoy Road, 7/11/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 14600 block of Seasons Drive, 7/12/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY, 14200 block of Saint Germain Drive, 7/12/14, 5:57 p.m. The victim was walking when he was approached by a suspect. The suspect grabbed cash and property from the victim and fled on foot. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 16-17, and wearing a striped shirt with khaki shorts.

BURGLARY, 4200 block of Airline Parkway, 7/14/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 14500 block of Iberia Circle, 7/14/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Mount Vernon District

ROBBERY, 3300 block of Lockheed Boulevard, 7/11/14, 10:20 p.m. The victim was walking when he was approached from behind by two men. An unknown object was pressed against the victim’s back and the men demanded cash. The suspects took cash and fled. There were no injuries. No suspect description is available.

BURGLARY, 7500 block of Republic Court, 7/14/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

PEEPING, 6100 block of Paulonia Road, 7/15/14, 12:45 a.m. A resident looked out the window and saw a man looking into the room. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 8000 Janna Lee Avenue, 7/17/14, 12:55 a.m. A woman had stepped outside her residence when a man exposed himself.  The suspect was described as black and wearing dark clothing.

ROBBERY, 7600 block of Richmond Highway, 7/17/14, 4:43 p.m. The victim was sitting inside a restaurant when two suspects approached him. The suspects assaulted the victim and took cash and property from him. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Responding police officers located the suspects and took them into custody. Khareem Anthony Joyner, 19, of Woodbridge was charged with robbery and assault. A 17-year-old Alexandria area male was charged with robbery and illegal possession of tobacco by a juvenile.

McLean District

BURGLARY, 6600 block of Moly Drive, 7/11/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY, 6600 block of Arlington Boulevard, 7/14/14, 6:38 p.m. Two men entered the Route 50 Gold & Jewelry Exchange, located at 6670 Arlington Boulevard, and displayed handguns to an employee. The suspects took cash and merchandise and then fled. There were no injuries. The suspects were described as black males wearing dark clothing and masks.

BURGLARY, 6000 block of Ramshorn Place, 7/17/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Mason District

ROBBERY, 6200 block of Little River Turnpike, 7/13/14, 3:19 p.m. A man entered a gas station and displayed a knife to an employee. The suspect took cash and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 40s, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall.

, 2000 block of Barbour Road, 7/15/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Reston District

ROBBERY, 11700 block of Sunset Hills Road, 7/16/14, 12:20 a.m. The victim was walking when two suspects approached him. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property from him. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both suspects were described as black males, 17-22 and about 5 feet 6 inches tall.

Franconia District

BURGLARY, 7400 block of Cross Gate Lane, 7/15/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

West Springfield District

BURGLARY, 9900 block of Manet Road, 7/11/14. A resident reported someone entered the garage and took property.

BURGLARY, 7900 block of Donegal Lane, 7/12/14, 1:20 a.m. Police responded for a burglary in progress and located two suspects inside a residence. A 17-year-old Springfield area male was charged with burglary. Hamza Maarif, 18, of Springfield was charged with burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

BURGLARY, 4500 block of Commons Drive, 7/14/14. A resident reported someone entered the apartment and took property.

Fair Oaks District

BURGLARY, 13200 block of Lee Jackson Highway, 7/13/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

BURGLARY, 13000 block of Birch Bark Court, 7/16/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ASSAULT, 12900 block of Point Pleasant Drive, 7/17/14, 7 p.m. A woman reported that while she was jogging on a path, a man on a bicycle assaulted her. He was described as Hispanic, 20-26, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, Fair Ridge Drive/Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, 7/17/14, 12:30 p.m. A woman was walking when a man exposed himself.  The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, 20-39, with an average build.
