I'm a life-long resident of Fairfax County (yep, I'm a native!) and during my 42, I've lived in Annandale, Alexandria (FFX County section), Burke Center and Fairfax. I've lived in Reston for the past 14 years; I live in Tall Oaks with my husband and a very spoiled Border Collie named Katie.

I love living in Reston, but having seen how dramatically the Northern Virginia area has changed over the past 42 years, I understand that development is an inevitability in this area (much like traffic).

My intent is to use this blog to discuss various issues of both local and national interest (mostly local), and to encourage an open discussion about these issues.
