Len is the owner of Milestone Communications Inc, a Reston based company that builds, owns and manages wireless telecommunications infrastructure in partnership with local governments. 

Len is also the founder of the non profit charity "Hopecam" which connects homebound children undergoing treatment for life threatening illnesses with their friends at school using webcameras and computer. The idea came about 10 years ago when his 9 year old son Matt was diagnosed with Leukemia and he was searching for a way to combat his lonliness during treatment. Since 2000 www.hopecam.org has helped several hundreds of children in 19 states and 3 countries.  

Len is an endurance athlete who has competed in over 30 marathon and ultra marathons, including 50 and 100 mile races. He has finished 5 ironman triathlons, several 24 hour mountain biking and ultra-cycling races and is registered to compete in the 31st annual Race Across America (RAAM) on June 13th 2012.

He will be one of 40 solo competitors racing his bicycle 3,000 miles in less than 12 days, assisted by a 9 person crew racing between Oceanside CA and Annapolis MD. RAAM is 30% longer than the Tour de France, completed in half the time.  By racing RAAM we hope to raise nationwide awareness of the benefits of Hopecam 

Len lives in Vienna VA with his wife Elizabeth son Matt (19) and daughter Viena (14).
