John Pinkman
John Pinkman is a nationally recognized baseball educator, journalist, author and public speaker. His coaching career spans 30 years, devoting the last 20 years to professional pitching instruction. His Academy has sent almost 200 players college baseball.      Collegiate Baseball Magazine describes him as “one of the top pitching coaches in the country.”
In 2011 John created the Project For Athletic Leadership, a nonprofit organization that focuses on increasing leadership skills for young athletes. His new book Becoming an Athletic Leader, written for the teenage reader, defines the leadership role for all athletes.   The Pinkman family moved to Reston in 1978. Married to Ruth Ann Pinkman, they have three grown children, Shannon (DiBacco), Jeff and Patrick who grew up and still live in Reston. Grandparents to three -- almost four.
