I firmly believe that exiting members should have no role on this decision. FCPS has gone decades without cameras-there should be no rush to install them on December 15th-when January 2nd will do just fine-assuming the support is there. The new board members will be the ones who will have to answer to the community about their effectiveness and/or any problems that develop.

I hope my response at 4:01 Thursday on "PatchChat Live. . ." was not terse.

Our goal is to have at least 6 incumbents vote to continue studying the issue so parents, teachers and students can be genuinely heard.

We could build resistance if it looks like we are member shopping and expectations from new SB members drives our advocacy for more time for community consideration.
