Plum Is Proud of Virginia-based SEALS' Role in Strike on Bin Laden

Del. Ken Plum (D-Reston) says he is proud that a Navy Seal team from Virginia Beach reportedly was responsible for the mission to kill Al Qaida leader Osama Bin Laden. Several media outlets are reporting that The US Naval Special Warfare Development Group - a Tier One counterterrorism unit that used to be known as Seal Team 6 - entered the compound and fatally shot Bin Laden. "Virginia's state motto is Sic Semper Tyrannis," said Plum. "That means 'Thus Always to Tyrants,' so that is a appropriate in this case. A page has been turned in American history.
