Crowds filled Reston Town Center Saturday to enjoy the 22nd annual Taste of Reston. The event is sponosored by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. Visitors sampled food from some of Reston's best restaurants. There was also live music and other entertainment and a Family Fun area and carnival. The event runs through 11 p.m. Saturday. The carnival section will continue through Sunday.

Area restaurants and family fun return to Reston Town Center for 22nd annual event.
There will be food and family fun as the Taste of Reston returns to Reston Town Center this weekend. The 22nd annual event, sponsored by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, features dishes from local restaurants, live music, carnival rides and games and a family fun zone. Here is what you need to know: Hours - Taste of Reston will run Friday from 3 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. Sunday will be the carnival only, which will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission - Admission is free, but visitors need tickets for food and carnival rides. It's a busy week in Reston - don't miss anything.
1. The Reston Master Plan Task Force hears the transportation analysis report from Fairfax County staff on Tuesday. This is an important point for planning for Reston's traffic needs after the Silver Line opens in 2013. Want to attend the Task Force meeting? It begins at Terraset Elementary School at 7 p.m. 2. It's primary day Tuesday. In the 11th Congressional District, Reston's new district since the lines were redrawn in 2010, voters will choose a Republican opponent for incumbent Gerry Connolly.
