American Express sponsoring a day to think outside the (big) box.
As a counterweight to Black Friday, a day for doorbuster deals at the big box stores, American Express is sponsoring Small Business Saturday, a day to check out local retailers' offerings. Boutique features high-end items for the smallest Restonians.
Baby Blossom, a boutique that features a wide variety of items for new parents, opened Oct. 29 at Lake Anne Plaza. David and Bonnie Goldberg have owned the Baby Blossom store in Fairfax for five years. When it came time to expand, Reston was a good fit, says David Goldberg. "We have always loved Lake Anne," said Goldberg. "We have had many requests from customers from Reston, Ashburn, Sterling about opening up in the area." The store, located at 1631 Washington Plaza West, is a brightly painted addition to the historic plaza. It specializes in high-quality stroller brands such as Bugaboo, Phil & Teds and Peg Perego.
