Police K9s and helicopter chased a Reston man and Herndon man accused of stealing cash and cell phone.
Police arrested two men on Feb. 25 after another man says he was beaten and robbed in the 2200 block of Marginella Drive. The 24-year-old victim told police two men allegedly beat him and stole cash and his cell phone about 3:10 p.m. The suspects fled in a vehicle. Officers found the car and the suspects fled on foot. The helicopter and a K-9 team then assisted in the search. Nydale Sheppard, 27, of Reston, and Angel Hernandez, 19, of Herndon, were each charged with robbery. Fairfax County Police report several burglaries in the Reston area this week in which an intruder entered through an unlocked door. On Feb. 14 at 12:35 a.m. , a resident of the 12000 block of Greywing Square reported someone entered the home and stole her purse. On Feb. 17 at 11 p.m., a resident of the 2000 block of Royal Fern Court told police someone entered his home through a rear door. Nothing was stolen. Two men charged with malicious wounding after fight on North Shore.
Fairfax County Police have charged two men with assault after a fight at a party last weekend. Osman Arriaga Rodriguez, 27, of Reston, and Juan Rodriguez Perez, 34, of Maryland, were each charged with malicious wounding after a 43-year-old man at a party told police he was assaulted.
