Meet the candidate for the Reston Association North Point Director seat.
Three Reston Association Board of Directors seats are up for grabs this spring. All three candidates are running unopposed. Voting opens Monday, the same day as candidates forum at Reston Association headquarters. The forum begins at 7 p.m. RA encourages members to vote as each candidate must have a quorum of 10 percent of eligible voters. Patch sent questionnaires to all three candidates and will publish them in coming days. Here is the first installment. Interested in running for a spot on the Reston Association Board of Directors in 2013? Three seats are up for grabs in 2013 - the Lake Anne/Tall Oaks (held by Ken Knueven); North Point (held by Mike Collins); and an at-large spot (held by Joe Leighton, who cannot run again due to term limits). Go to RA's Board Elections Web page for instructions on how to become a candidate. Those interested in running must file by Feb. 1. The election period is in the spring, with the winners announced in April. For Lake Anne/Tall Oaks and North Point seats, you must be a resident of the respective district.
