Reston Town Center makes "Washingtonian's" annual list.
PassionFish at Reston Town Center has earned a spot once again on Washingtonian's 100 Very Best Restaurants. The pricey restaurant, owned by DC chef Jeff Tunks, has earned Very Best Restaurant honors annually since 2009. Washingtonian gave PassionFish kudos for its lobster bisque, crabcakes and crispy flounder with tamarind-chili sauce. To see the magazine's complete list, click here. Food critic revisits Reston restaurant - and not thrilled with what he sees.
Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema's 2012 Spring Dining Guide is out. In it, he revisits several Washington-area restaurants to see how they are holding up a few years later. In 2008, Sietsema liked what he saw at Reston Town Center's Passionfish. In 2012, not so much. Sietsema calls Passionfish's cioppino "wan" and its sushi "gloppy." He gives Passionfish one star.
