RA CEO Matthews to Leave Position in 2013
Reston Association chief executive moving to Rockville, where is wife is new city manager.
Reston Association CEO Milton Matthews will be leaving his position later this year, RA announced on Friday. Matthews has been the CEO of RA for eight years. He is leaving the job because his wife accepted a job as the city manager of Rockville, Md., last summer. That job, like Reston Association, features a residency requirement. "I very much have mixed emotions," said Matthews. "We enjoyed greately living in Reston. I like the community very much. I read about it when I was in grad school, and being a part of it was an invaluable experience." The Association and Matthews have worked out a transition plan. Under that plan, Matthews will continue to serve as CEO until Sept. 30 of this year, though he will be on leave beginning May 31. RA…
