Two Stores Remain Closed After Fire At South Lakes Village Center

Cafesano and Hour Eyes at South Lakes Village Center remained closed Monday afternoon, about seven hours after a two-alarm fire on the roof. Both stores are without power, and the stores sustained damage when firefighters had to chop through the roof to get to the fire, which started in the ceiling. Cafesano employees are moving perishables from the eat-in restaurant to the catering operation about eight doors down. The eat-in restaurant may be closed for a few days, but patrons are welcome to go down to the catering stores, which offers take-out, to pick up their favorite salads, sandwiches and pizza, employees said.
