New locally-owned Thai restaurant takes former Greenberry's space.
Hibiscus Thai opens its doors for eat-in and takeout customers on Monday. The new restaurant is located 11790-A Baron Cameron Ave., in the space at the Home Depot shopping center formerly occupied by Greenberry's, which closed last year. Owner Kenny Zweibon says it was the dream of his wife, Jessica, who has worked for other area Thai restaurants for 20 years, to have her own business. So the Zweibons gave the former coffee shop a good makeover - creating a light, bright space with colorful artwork, a full bar and an outdoor dining patio.
