RA Will Name Dogwood Pavilion for Employee
Dan Warfield, who died in December, was Reston Association's Capital Projects Manager.
Reston Association will dedicate the renovated Dogwood Pool Picnic Pavilion in memory of Dan Warfield, a longtime RA employee who died in December. Warfield, 56, was a 36-year RA employee when he became sick and died in late 2012. He served many roles for RA, particularly in managing construction crews and projects. At the time of his death, he was the capital projects manager and was named the association's 2012 Employee of the Year. "Dan was sharp-witted, full of energy and humor and had a real passion for Reston," said Larry Butler, RA Director of Parks and Recreation.
