South Lakes Comes Back In Frantic Minute To Beat Yorktown

With 1.9 seconds left in the game and the score tied at 54 in South Lakes' opener against Yorktown, forward D.J. Christian stood 15-feet away from redemption at the free-throw line. Thirty seconds earlier, the junior, who had a team-high 21 points, was called for an ill-timed technical foul. In a seldom-issued penalty, Christian was called for hanging on the rim too long in an attempt to try to put back a missed layup by teammate J.D. Wallace. Yorktown went to the free-throw line and made both technical free throws to tie the game.
