Two New Faces for RCC Board of Governors

Lisa Ehrhardt and Gerald Zavala will serve three-year terms, along with re-elected board member Bill Bouie.

Restonians Lisa Ehrhardt and Gerald Zavala, along with incumbent board member Bill Bouie, were appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday to serve on the Reston Community Center Board of Governors. Following RCC bylaws, the board members were appointed by the BOS at the request of Hunter Mill Supervisor Cathy Hudgins, after the results of the 2012 Preference Poll were tabulated. Vote tallies were as follows:  Zavala is a five-year resident of Reston with experience in many civic areas and activities. He is the Director of Development for the Fairfax County Park Foundation and is a recent graduate of the Leadership Fairfax program, as well as a member of the Lake Anne Elementary Parent Teacher Association and the …

Board Candidates Talk About RCC's Future

Community collaboration and growing to expand with Reston on the minds of candidates for Reston Community Center Board of Governors.

Keeping residents involved in the community and serving those residents as Reston continues to grow were among the topics at the Reston Community Center Board of Governor's Candidates' Forum at RCC Hunters Woods last week. There are three candidates running for three three spots. Bill Bouie, a member of the board since 2003, is seeking another three-year term. Bouie, a telecommunications professional, is also chairman of the Fairfax County Park Authority Board and has served the community in numerous volunteer capacities. Bouie could not attend the forum due to a previous commitment.
