Red Velvet is simply the best cupcake shop. My fav is the birthday cupcake ... ah...memories of those wonderful bakeries in my childhood in the 1950s. The cake is moist. The frosting is just perfect and the perfect amount. And I love the special variations from time to time. You can't go wrong with ANY of their cupcakes!!!

Red Velvet definitely lives up to its name. The sugary fragrance permeates your nose the moment you enter the store, as you're greeted with a happy "Hello!" and a smile from the modest workers. The many tastes of cupcakes are as exquisite as the decorations and cleanliness.
The only trouble is resisting the urge to come back every day!

Red Velvet Cupcakery is the BEST! the cupcakes are always done to perfection, always, moist, always delicious! There are so many places one can go to find a good cupcake these days, but I want the best, which is why my family and I choose Red Velvet above all others :)

Red Velvet Cupcakery is by far the best cupcake baker in Reston. Yum. Yum. Yum. I've served them at holiday celebrations, a bridal shower, and dinner parties. My guests have raved about their variety of flavors, great taste and beautiful decorations. RVC is the BEST.

As a self-proclaimed cupcake connoisseur, it gives me great pleasure to write a review for Red Velvet Cupcakery -- my favorite stop for cupcakes in the DC Metro area. From the almond scented blonde cake in the BDAY, to the chewy texture of gluten-free BLACK VELVET, each cupcake is as transcendent as the one that proceeded it. There is an appetite appeasing flavor for everyone, yet try to see one pass up any of the delicious offerings presented on the menu.

Best cupcakes in Reston! The balance of flavors and just the right amount of sweetness. I also love the feature flavors that change each week...they are always unique and creative! The staff is so fun and makes me always feel like I'm walking into a friend's place.

I bought a bunch of cupcakes for my husband's birthday and we loved them!

I'm not a big cupcake person, and I was surprised to find how quickly I fell in love with Red Velvet cupcakes. I've even made a few converts myself by taking them to friends and family. The staff is super friendly, and the cupcakes are delicious. I especially like their "feature flavor," it's always something new to keep me on my toes!

I vote for Red Velvet. Their cupcakes are moist and delicious. They have classic favorites and seasonal flavors. I have yet to be disappointed by a single treat. I also love that they have great hours (not so much Cupcake Ladi). Plus they also run deals with Groupon/Living Social so you can get a dozen for half the price.

Red Velvet Cupcakes are delicious, and the staff delightful. However, my vote would go to CupCake Ladi - if her store were open more hours. Everyone should check her out on Saturday while at Lake Anne for the Farmers Market.
That said, Red Velvet does rock!

I love all the cupcakes BUT You simply cannot find a better carrot cake cupcake than at Red Velvet. The cake is so fresh and full of flvor and the frosting is just purely sinful. A Red Velvet cupcake is a treat that makes any day a special occasion. I survived Monday; I think I've earned a Red Velvet cupcake! It's my half-birthday...give or take a few months; I'm going to celebrate with a Red Velvet cupcake! I took the stairs instead of the elevator all day; I'm going to reward myself for my healthy choice with a Red Velvet cupcake!

The customer service is top-notch and the opportunities to earn free cupcakes are fun and plentiful. Every featured flavor I have tried has been incredible - even the more inventive and unusual combinations. My favorite flavor is the carrot cake, and I don't even like carrot cake! Red Velvet cupcakes are moist, flavorful, and just sweet enough to satisfy my dessert cravings. They are perfection in a paper wrapper!

Red Velvet makes delicious cupcakes! My favorite is the carrot cake, which is moist and is made with whipped cream cheese frosting. Delicious and consistent in their quality!

Red Velvet makes the quintessential cupcake. Each of their icings is specifically formulated for that specific cake. They are perfect combinations! My favorite is the Summertime, which can be had any time of the year. No matter the weather, one bite of the Summertime whisks you away to a tropical island, with the perfect blend of lemon and coconut, and warm ocean breezes. So good! The location is convenient with free parking, tons of shopping and family friendly activities going on all the time in the Town Center. There is always a bowl of fresh cool water out for passing pups, and the staff is always smiling and spectacular. Red Velvet gets my vote every time.

Red Velvet is the best cupcake place in the Reston Town Center. I've had their vanilla cupcake and it was beautiful. While it might sound like a boring choice, it showed the skills of the chef. The texture was not too dense, not too light. It wasn't too sweet. It hit all the right notes to create a tasty treat. I will be back again.

Ok, admittedly I am biased, but for a non-sweettooth, these are the closest confection to perfection yet for me. The cake/frosting ratio is just right, the ingredients are first-rate and their special recipes are surprising, delightful and always tasty. They give the highest attention to quality and great customer service. Love Red Velvet Cupcakery!
