Around-The-World Fun at Reston Multicultural Festival

Fall fun all around and near Reston the weekend of Sept. 27.

Chinese martial arts, Irish music, Brazilian samba and reggae from the islands.

These are just a few of the acts that will celebrate the cultures of the world at the annual Reston Multicultural Festival.

The annual event returns to Lake Anne Plaza on Saturday (11 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine). The festival features performing arts on two stages, family arts and crafts activities, native crafts for sale, and foods of many nations for sale in the global cafe.

The fun begins at 11 a.m., when Hunter Mill Supervisor Cathy Hudgins, Rep. Gerry Connolly and other local dignitaries welcome festival-goers and brand-new American citizens who will take part in a naturalization ceremony.
