How to Make Virginia Kids Noisy (In a Really Healthy Way)

Select museums in Virginia and DC are free this weekend for Bank of America card holders.

Question for you, readers: Which one?

If you'd like to give the kids something healthier than the 80 pounds of sugar they have, or will be, collecting for Halloween, maybe it's worth hitting the road from Reston this weekend for a free children's museum. Or two.

As part of the bank's "Museums on Us" program, people with a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit cards get free admission to two big children's museums — and several others, which you can find by checking this website.
Have you been to either? Which would you recommend? Here's the information on them provided by Bank of America.

The Children's Museum of Virginia is the most fun place in the whole state dedicated to kids and the adventure of learning. Step inside a world where bubbles grow bigger than you are, where the forces of energy electrify and spark the imagination, where you can be a farmer, a banker, a scientist, a star gazer.

Come to where the big people think you're having an educational experience and you're just having a lot of fun!

Children's Museum of Richmond
2626 West Broad Street
Richmond, VA 23220

Website

The Children's Museum of Richmond — Virginia's most-visited children's museum — offers more than 20 unique exhibit spaces both indoors and out, designed for children ages 8 and under and their families.

All of the 42,000 square foot museum's programs and exhibits are developed to encourage pretend play and create expression, building both cognitive and interpersonal skills through fun, hands-on interaction. The Children's Museum of Richmond is devoted to celebrating Virginia's diversity and offering a safe place for all children to interact, play and learn.

[Note: Please check the museum's website for their admission rules for adults and for children.]
