Library Battle On, Triathletes Done and Lifetime Debuts

Things you need to know for the week of Sept. 9.

The Fairfax County Library Board is holding a highly anticipated meeting on Wednesday, 7 p.m., at George Mason Regional Library.

The meeting, open to the public, is to discuss proposed changes to staffing and programs in the library system. A grassroots effort has been underway the last few months to try and dissuade the library board from making changes, which could have a big effect on Reston Regional Library.
