To All Those Post-Menopausal Women – I’m Sorry!
Are you eating better to feel better and stay healthy as you age? I'm trying to. I will be blogging about my journey with nutrition, sharing tips I find along the way, and sharing how I'm feeling.
It seems like I have been on a diet my entire life. But, in truth, I only started putting on weight that I couldn’t seem to lose after menopause. I remember women telling me that when I was younger. I thought “oh, they’re just lazy”. To all those women – I’m so sorry. You were right; losing weight after menopause is so hard.
I have tried eliminating foods. Some of the foods I have eliminated successfully and it has been great. I no longer drink sodas of any kind. I don’t miss them. I feel better.
Other foods I can’t seem to eliminate. Sugar. Are you serious? There’s sugar in chocolate. Dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you. Even if it wasn’t – I’m not giving it up.

Wine. I can’t give that up either. Some studies say a glass a day is good for my
heart. Other studies say it will be me cancer. I hope I don’t get cancer. I’m keeping the wine.
I am making changes. I am eating better and thinking about my food choices more, but trying to enjoy eating as part of a good life. I’ve always been interested
in nutrition, so I will be blogging about nutrition and my journey. I know many people are on this journey with me – I hope we can share.
