Your Public Library books being trashed . . . by your Public Library!
Sometimes pictures are worth much more than words as the saying goes.
The pictures attached to this article are of books, mostly children's, mostly in good or better condition, mostly not outdated, thrown in the dumpster at FCPL's Technical Operations Center at the Chantilly Regional Library. They were taken by a volunteer between April and August 2013.
They show the lack of respect FCPL's leadership has for books and for the taxpayers that provided the money to buy them.
Stop this destruction of our public library by:
- Signing the e-petition calling for a stop to implementation of the "Beta Program" while it is re-evaluated;
- Sending an e-mail to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors telling them what you think;
- Contact your district representative to the Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees through its website;
