Welcome the New Senior Adult Program Director at RCC

RCC welcomes a new Senior Adult Program Director, and a Reston for a Lifetime volunteer puts together a holiday lunch for Lake Anne Fellowship House residents!

The more we network with other programs like Reston for a Lifetime around the country, the more we realize what a special mix of resources we have in our community.

One of the most treasured is Reston Community Center (RCC).  RCC has been an invaluable partner to Reston for a Lifetime which makes the news that they have a new Senior Adult Program Director even more exciting!  Karen
Brutsche will now lead the Senior Adult Programming at RCC, and you have the
opportunity to meet her at our next monthly meeting on Wed. Nov. 9 - RCC Hunters Woods from 2 - 4 p.m.

At this meeting we will also be discussing several programs that we are helping plan and produce with RCC, these include the Lifelong Leisure & Resource Expo on May 22, and the Getting Around Reston – Transportation Forum on March 31.  We hope you can join us to welcome Karen to her new role and brainstorm new ideas!

Volunteers Needed - Holiday Lunch at Lake Anne Fellowship House

Speaking of new ideas, one of our Reston for a Lifetime volunteers, Cherie Lejeune has been working on setting up a holiday lunch for the residents of Lake Anne Fellowship House.  She has successfully secured some vendor contributions and now we need volunteers!  All volunteers are welcomed, but it would be wonderful if we could find some volunteers who speak Chinese, Korean and Farsi.  Contact Cherie Lejeune 203-400-3668 latripp24@gmail.com if you know someone who is interested.
