Two SLHS Athletes Sign NCAA Letters of Intent

Zac Parker will play football at Liberty University; Suliaman Dainkeh will play soccer at Maryland.

Two South Lakes High School senior athletes signed NCAA Division I letters of intent on National Signing Day on Wednesday.

Zac Parker, who scored eight receiving touchdowns for South Lakes in his senior season last fall, signed to play at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Parker led the Seahawks' offense with 710 receiving yards.

"Zac took a challenge we put in front of him," South Lakes assistant football coach Marcus McLean said at a signing ceremony at the school. "You can see the proof of where hard work will get you."

Also signing Wednesday was Suliaman Dainkeh, who had orally committed to play soccer at the University of Maryland more than a year ago. Read about Dainkeh's journey from Sierra Leone to Reston here.

"I can't wait for next year," Dainkeh said. "I am really looking forward to the next stage of my life."
