South Lakes' Ryan Forrest a Winner at Northern Region Wrestling Tourney

Undefeated Seahawk wins 145-lb. class.

South Lakes wrestler Ryan Forrest won the Northern Region 145-lb. title with a 10-1 victory over Robinson's Zak Depasquale in Saturday's final at Fairfax High School.

Forrest earned a trip to the Virginia High School League AAA State Tournament next weekend at Robinson High School.

Forrest was the lone South Lakes representative in the championship round.

Forrest remains undefeated at 37-0 this season. He started off with a 2-0 lead in the final match, with Depasquale scoring his only point with a minute to go in the third period.
