South Lakes Girls Basketball Remains Unbeaten with 71-27 Victory Over Herndon

South Lakes moved to 7-0 with a dominating victory over Herndon Friday, Dec. 20.

The South Lakes Girls Varsity Basketball team continued their dominant season Friday, Dec. 20 with a 71-27 victory over Herndon High School. 

Per South Lakes Athletics, for the second game in a row the Seahawks had three players who scored double figures. 

Senior center, Abigail Rendle led all scorers with 15 points, (6/8 FG), (3/4 FT), and added 7 rebounds, an assist, 3 steals, and 4 blocks.

Senior guard Natalie Toma finished with 12 points, (3/4 FG), (1/2 3P), and added 3 assists, and 2 steals.  Junior forward Princess Aghayere had a spectacular start to the evening and tacked on 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals.

Senior guard Caitlin Jensen was a perfect 3 for 3 from the floor and continued her streak of knocking in at least one three pointer to seven consecutive games.

The Seahawks have opened the season in dominating fashion, defeating their opponents by an average of 36.4 points per game. 

The Seakhawks, who are ranked by the Washington Post as number six in the region, play next at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, in the Boo Williams Classic. 

The Seahawks Boys team lost to Herndon later that evening.
