Soccer: SLHS Boys, Girls Win Over Marshall

Boys have now won three straight.

The South Lakes boys soccer team defeated Marshall High School 1-0 Friday night.

Sampson Hijar’s goal in the first half turned out to be the game winner for the Seahawks, who have now won three in a row.

Next home game for South Lakes is Wednesday April 27 vs. George Mason High School.

Girls  soccer: South Lakes 3, Marshall 1

Caitlyn Christopher,  Kayla Funaki and Jenna Anderson scored first-half goals to put the Seahawks up 3-0 at the half. Despite two fouls on South Lakes and a penalty kick that put Marshall on the scoreboard, goalie Allison Micka ended the game with a great save, giving Seahawks their third win of the season.
