South Lakes High School’s 4x800 relay teams set school records at the AAA Indoor Track and Field State Championships Friday and Saturday in Hampton, Va.
The boys’ team of seniors Ashkan Mohammadi, Michael McHugh and juniors Michael Kerr and Luis Rivas finished third with a time of 7:58.36. Sophomores Augusta Durham, Devin Nieusma and juniors Abby Reinhold and Grace Gillen ran a school record 9:39.48 to finished eighth in the event.
The girls 4x400 meter team of senior Kyannah Calhoun, sophomores Delaney Wickman, Maya Rodriguez and Gillen made it to the podium with a third place finish in the event.

- Sophomore Danielle Hale, sixth, triple jump (37-10, personal best)
- Wickman, sixth, 300 meter dash (40.79, personal best)
- Calhoun, eighth, 500 meter dash
