SLHS Cross Country Teams Earn Regional Spots
Cheerleading finishes third at Liberty Districts, advances to Regionals.
Led by Ashkan Mohammadi (fourth), Michael McHugh (11th place) and Andrew McCool (14th place), the South Lakes Boys Cross Country team finished fourth in the Liberty District Championships at Burke Lake Park Wednesday, advancing to the Northern Regional Meet.
The Seahawks finished behind Stone Bridge, Thomas Jefferson and McLean.
The top SLHS girls finisher was Monica Lannen (13th place). The Seahawks also had three other finishers in the top 20: Kyannah Calhoun (16th), Augusta Durham (17th) and Kelly Jean Watkins (18th) as the girls team finished third behind Madison and McLean to advance to the regionals.

Volleyball - the South Lakes Girls Volleyball team defeated McLean 3-2 Thursday. They are 14-10 heading into Liberty District tournament play Monday.

Cheerleading - South Lakes' Cheer Squad took third place at the Liberty District Cheerleading Competition Wednesday at SLHS.
The Seahawks finished behind Fairfax and Stone Bridge, but still earned a trip to the Northern Regionals at Fairfax on Saturday.
