RSTA: New Process for Swimmer Evaluations

Reston Swim Team Association says all new swimmers 10-and-under must take part in evaluation.

Reston Swim Team Assocaition (RSTA) says it is changing the process for swim testing for new league swimmers ages 10 and under.

RSTA will be conducting swim evaluations to assess safety in the water and readiness to participate on a summer swim team. These New Swimmer Evaluations replace the swim test that had previously been conducted during the first week of summer swim practice.

All new swimmers age 10 and under who have not participated on an RSTA team or RSTA Winter Swim Program, are required to participate in a New Swimmer Evaluation. This includes children born between June 15, 2007 and June 14, 2002.
