Registration Now Open for Annual Reston Sprint Triathlon

Annual event to be held Sunday, June 1.

Registration for the eigthth annual Reston Sprint Triathlon is now open. The race, which will take place Sunday, June 1, consists of a quarter-mile swim, a 12-mile bike ride and a three-mile run. 

The swim is in the Lake Newport pool, the bike segment is all within North Reston, with police and volunteer course monitors.

The run segment is in the heart of north Reston and will take advantage of Reston's famed pathways.

The proceeds from the event are donated to Cornerstones (formerly Reston Interfaith). Cornerstones promotes self-sufficiency through support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare and other services.

The CORE Foundation, in cooperation with Reston Association, presents the event.
