Jones Wins Northern Region High Jump Title

Junior leads South Lakes boys to second-place finish at indoor track regionals.

Rashaan Jones won the boys high jump with a jump of 6-foot-8 at Saturday's Northern Region Indoor Track and Field Meet at George Mason University.

Jones, a junior, has jumped 7-0, believed to be the top height in the country, several times this season. The meet record is 6-10. Jones also finished third in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump.

As a team, the South Lakes boys finished second to Westfield. The girls were sixth.
