Former SLHS Player Reaches College Milestone

Kelcyn Manurs reaches 1,000 career points at Livingstone College.

Former South Lakes High School girls basketball player Kelcyn Manurs recently scored her 1,000th career point for Livingstone College in North Carolina.

Manurs, the 2009 Liberty District player of the year and a senior co-captain of her colllege team, earned the honor in a 27-point performance against Fayetteville State this week.

Even though Manurs graduated from SLHS nearly four years ago, Manurs mother, Cynthia, continues as  the statistician for the current Seahawks girls basketball team.
