Reston Zoo - Summer Workshop -

This summer join the Reston Zoo for some fun, exploration, learning, and discovery through our educational and interactive workshops!

This week's thereme is ANIMAL HOMES AND HABITATS.


Learn what the word "home" means to different types of birds, reptiles and mammals. Animal homes share similar characteristics but in some cases, can be very different depending on where the animal lives and how it behaves. 

    Animal interactions: Ferret, Parrot, and Llama.
    Craft: Paint a birdhouse for your own backyard.

2011 SUMMER WORKSHOP DETAILS
  • Workshops are available for children ages 5-7 years old. 
  • Each workshop is on a Thursday, from 1pm to 2:30pm.
  • Includes activities, live animals interactions and a take home craft.
  • $25 – non season pass holders.
  • $20 – season pass holders.

REGISTERING
There is a maximum of 12 children for all workshops. Slots will be filled on 
a first come- first serve basis. To reserve a spot, call the zoo today at:

*Reminder: Children with special needs may be accompanied by parent with approval prior to registration.

PAYMENT
  • Payment must be received upon registering for a workshop. 
  • Payments by Visa, Mastercard or Discover can be made in person or over the phone.
  • Children who are members will receive a $5 discount on all summer  workshops.

CANCELLATION POLICY
  • 3 + weeks prior: Full Refund
  • 2 weeks prior: 50% Refund
  • 1 week or less prior: No Refund, but you may opt to register for     different workshop without any penalties.
