Boys Basketball: SLHS Wins Sixth Straight

Christian's 18 points lead South Lakes past Madison.

South Lakes' boys basketball team won its sixth straight game, defeating Madison on the road,  60-45 on Friday.

The Seahawks were sparked by  DJ Christian's 16 first-half points and led 32-15 at halftime.   

Christian finished with 18 points for the game, followed by JD Wallace with 17 points.

The Seahawks improved their record to 9-4, 4-2 in the Liberty District.  Madison fell to 7-7, 2-4 in the Liberty District.

The Seahawks return home on Saturday night to host Stone Bridge High School.  Tipoff is 7:30 pm.

In girls basketball action, the Seahawks fell to Madison 62-45. The victory kept Madison (11-3, 6-0), ranked No. 14 by The Washington Post, undfeated in Liberty District play.

South Lakes was led by Gabrielle Schultz with 12 points and six rebounds. Abgial Rendle added 10 points, five rebounds and two assists).

South Lakes (9-4, 4-3 Liberty) will play at Stone Bridge Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
