Jordan Francis scored 17 points as South Lakes defeated Thomas Jefferson 57-53 in overtime Friday night. J.D. Wallace contributed 12 points and Mitch Dempster scored 10 points. Dempster also played outstanding defense on TJ's leading scorer throughout the game ,and had a key steal and free throws in the overtime period.
The Seahawks improved to 11-6 overall and 6-4 in the Liberty District. TJ's record fell to in 2-8 in the Liberty District and to 6-12 overall.
The Seahawks host the Fairfax High School Rebels on Tuesday in an important game to determine third place in the Liberty District. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
