South Lakes Sentinel Earns Kudos at National Competition

Student publication among top finishers in Best of Show competition

South Lakes High School's student newspaper, the South Lakes Sentinel, earned ninth place in the  "Best of Show" competition at the annual Journalism Education Association (JEA)-National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) fall convention held last weekend in Minneapolis.

Emily Lipscomb and Kaitlin Welker are the paper's co-managing editors. Phil Dignan is the faculty advisor.
