South Lakes High Theatre Arts Students Nominated for Cappies

Students from South Lakes High Theatre Arts Department were nominated for Cappies this year for their work on "Legally Blonde."

Student Robel Kabtyimer is nominated in the Male Dancer category.

Students Sahana Arkalgud, Sequoia Carrillo, Katherine McCool are nominated in the Marketing and Publicity category, for their work on getting the word out about the "Legally Blonde" production.

The Cappies aka "Critics and Awards Program," is a program through which high school theatre and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews.

At the end of the year, the student critics vote for awards that are presented at the formal Cappies Gala.

This year's gala takes place Sunday at the Kennedy Center.
