SLHS Presents 'The Great Gatsby' This Week

Step back into the Jazz Age at one of the four performances at the school.

South Lakes High School's theatre arts department is readying for its performance of The Great Gatsby, which will run at the school Thursday through Saturday.

Two alternating casts of players will present the story of Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire who passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger.

The play is is baed on F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel in this adaptation by Simon Levy.

Thursday, Nov. 15, 7 p.m.;  Friday,  Nov 16, 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 17, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets: $10, adults; $8, students and seniors.
