The Reston Runners Community Fund awarded its first annual scholarships to four Fairfax County students in recognition of their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
Virginia McGiboney and Connor Metcalf were honored Thursday night at South Lakes High School's Senior Awards Night. Ashley Grupenhoff and Harrison Murn, both seniors at Herndon High School, also received scholarships at an awards ceremony at Herndon High School in late May. The Reston Runners Community Fund was founded this year to encourage and support runners and running programs in the Reston community.
