Getting to school on two feet or two wheels popular activities in Reston Wednesday.
Wednesday was International Walk to School Day, and all Reston elementary schools took part by hosting special events to encourage students to walk to school.
At Lake Anne ES, there was a rally at a nearby park, and students were given a backpack charm for participating. Lake Anne officials say they are going to make Walk to School Day a monthly event.
At Sunrise Valley ES, 154 students - 25 percent of the school - walked our biked their way to school - organizers said.
