Photo of the Day: Happy Lunar New Year

Students at the Academy of Christian Education in Reston were treated to several special guests at their annual Lunar New Year Celebration last week.  

Mr. Wu Jiangnan, a world-renowned  poet, calligraphy artist, and photographer gave a special presentation to the students as he created a special banner for the school summarizing the concept that “Learning is Like the Ocean,  Never Ending."

Mr. Wu has won many international awards, and his new exhibit will be on display at Georgetown University Hospital in May.

Jisun Bae and Won-Yong Chong  of The Washington Korean Dance Company performed Korean dances accompanied by drums and instruments. Eun Su Kim performed traditional folk songs. 

Students learned about the cultures of China, Korea, and Vietnam through games, activities, food, and presentations.
