Herndon Homecoming Schedule of Events

It's Homecoming week at Herndon High School.

It's that time of year, when people prepare to walk down Elden Street or line up to watch as Homecoming takes over the town.

This year's Herndon Homecoming Parade will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday down Elden Street leading to downtown Herndon.

The football game will be against Washington and Lee High School at 1 p.m. Saturday at Herndon High School. HHS students will celebrate with a homecoming dance Saturday evening.

This year's homecoming theme is Childhood Nostalgia. For Herndon students celebrating Spirit Week, Tuesday will be Cartoon Day, Wednesday is Childhood Idol Day, Thursday is Toy Day and Friday is Class Color Day.

The Powder Puff game will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday on the Herndon High School football field. Entry is $5.

Herndon students and staff will also celebrate homecoming with a pep rally and bonfire on Friday. The bonfire will be held from 8-10:30 p.m. Friday evening by the Herndon High School marquee sign.

The high school is still looking for area residents with convertibles to volunteer to drive the Homecoming Court through the parade route on Saturday. To volunteer contact Kelly Goodwin at kmgoodwin@fcps.edu
