Herndon Cheerleaders Earn Spot in State Championships
Hornets finish third in Northern Region.
The Herndon Hornets took third place at the 2011 Northern Region Cheerleading Tournament Finals at Fairfax High School on Saturday.
Eight teams competed for the top four spots, which will compete at the state tournament. Fairfax was first. Stone Bridge finished second, Herndon third and West Springfield took fourth.
The state tournament will take place Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Virginia Commonwealth University campus in Richmond.
