Gallery: Ringing in the Jewish New Year

Students at Beth Emeth Early Childhood Education Center celebrate Rosh Hashanah.

Sunday night, Jews in Reston, Herndon and around the world will begin celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Happy 5773!

Students at Herndon's spent much of the week learning about the holiday through apples and honey snacks, creating artwork, passing around the shofar, and creating a "Happy Birthday to the World" mural.
