Gallery: CANgineering at Hughes Middle School

Northrop Grumman engineers lend a hand to build a castle out of cans.

Engineers from Northrop Grumman were on hand last week to help Langston Hughes Middle School students at the fourth annual CANgineering event at the school.

This annual event is part of Engineers Week, which hopefully will inspire middle schoolers to seek a career in STEM fields. The structure will be on display in the Hall of Nations at Hughes for several weeks. The canned food will be donated to the Hughes Middle School Food Pantry and to Reston Interfaith.
