Free music performance. Harpsichordist Vera Kochanowsky is a graduate of the Oberlin and New England Conservatories and holds the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from Stanford University. Since arriving in the Washington area in 1990, she has been active as a harpsichord soloist and chamber musician. She is the founder and director of two vocal ensembles, Carmina and Illuminaire, which have been presenting early music concerts on the Washington area since 1998. Seventh of eight Thursday afternoon "Meet the Artist" performances cosponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at George Mason University and the Reston Community Center.
