Flow Immersion 200 hour Teacher Training- Fall 2012 with Maryam Ovissi

Level 1: Flow Yoga Immersion- Journey towards Teaching 
200hr RYS program
BelovedYoga 200 hour Flow Yoga Immersion program will provide a safe, nurturing and creative environment in which to grow and deepen one's practice and begin the journey towards becoming a Yoga Teacher. 

We offer a unique 50 hour mentoring model for those interested in cultivating their seat as a teacher. Our 50 hour mentoring program is included in this program and each trainee can choose to participate in this program. Our Level 1: Flow Yoga Immersion is certified by the nationally recognized Yoga Alliance and upon completion of program graduation participants will receive 200 Hr RYT certification. 200 hr Program Overview: 
~Gain knowledge about the history, philosophy and various paths of Yoga
~Insight into the Yoga Sutras & Bhagavad Gita
~Establish and deepen a daily asana and meditation practice
~Deepen your understanding of poses and their benefits/contradictions
~Receive and perform hands-on adjustments
~Begin to read the body and adapt poses appropriately
~Sequence poses to create a balanced flow
~Anatomy for Yoga Teachers 
~Intro to Energetic Anatomy
~Understand the muscular-skeletal components of selected postures
~Cultivate deeper levels of awareness and balance in mind and body
~Learn to establish a daily meditation practice and learn to lead group meditation
~Assist students in experiencing transformation
~Learn safe and effective adjustments
~Intelligent Sequencing for all levels of classes
~Learn about the art of language for teaching
~Learn about the power of music in your classes
~Deepen your knowledge of Sanskrit and Chanting

The cost of the program is $2875*
*Two workshops will need to be paid for separately ($125 each)
*Books may be purchased at BelovedYoga and you will receive 20% off all books when enrolled in this program.
* If you pay the fee in full before Sept 10, 2012 the rate will be $2750. *This fee includes a 30 class pass and teacher training manual. Monthly payments are accepted.

The curriculum for the 200 hour Training will meet the Yoga Alliance Standards as well: Techniques Training/Practice, Teaching Methodology, Anatomy and Physiology, Yoga Philosophy/Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers, Practicum and remaining hours of additional home study and practice. In order to apply for the 200 hour level we require having experience with yoga for at least 1 year. Teacher Training Dates:
Trainees may miss only two days. Additional work will need to be done to fulfill the hours. Saturday: 10: 30 – 5:30 p.m. Sunday: 12 - 5 p.m.
