The Reston-Herndon branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will have speakers in conjunction with the annual GEMS (Girls Excelling in Math, Science and Technology) Conference. The meeting, at Herndon Fortnightly Library, is open to the public.
There will be a presentation from George Mason University’s new campaign, Marketing Math and Science for Girls. Guest speaker is Paige Epler of GMU.

There will also be a speaker from Women in Technology, who will explain their programs that are changing the outlook for young girls in the fields of math, science and technology.
